So me, as far as like my new chapter with my new team, things are going pretty good. Trying to keep it that way. That [trade] could have broke me as far as like going to a new team and things [might not] have went well or, you know, things could have went a little shaky, or I [might not] have the success I had.

But he's embracing the role just like he did as Allen's immediate top option last year. Then you've got to know a guy that doesn't react well to that, a guy like Josh, who has a lot of energy, he's playful.

But in the game Just make your next play your best play. Everybody does. Everybody has a lot of energy. But different people need different ways, and being able to know your teammates and know what they need, that's a leader to me. Nick Fierro is the publisher of Bills Central.

From that inauspicious start, though, he worked his way to become a top pass-catcher in the NFL. In his five seasons in Minnesota, Diggs caught balls for 4, yards and scored 30 touchdowns. He even scored the most memorable touchdown in Vikings history on January 14, Down to the New Orleans Saints with 10 seconds left in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, Diggs caught a pass from quarterback Case Keenum and, when the Saints safety whiffed on the tackle, raced plus yards into the end zone as time expired.

Diggs still ended the season with a then-career-high 1, receiving yards.

Leading into the NFL Draft, the Vikings traded Diggs and a seventh-round pick in to the Buffalo Bills for first-, fifth-, and sixth-round picks in and a fourth-round pick in , per NFL. This is the definition of growth from Stefon Diggs. Jefferson caught 88 balls for 1, yards and seven touchdowns. Diggs knee is in uniform and going through pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's preseason matchup with Green Bay, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.

The Bills haven't seemed worried about Diggs' Week 1 status at any point, despite the recent absences from practice. The Bills wore jerseys sans pads and shorts, but Diggs' presence was an encouraging sign as he looks to put a knee injury behind him.

The issue has kept him out of practice since Aug. It's unclear if coach Sean McDermott will entertain the thought of getting Diggs some in-game reps in Saturday's exhibition finale Saturday against the Packers, but the wide receiver's progress this week will be one to monitor closely to get a sense of his health.

Coach Sean McDermott said Diggs knee won't take part in practice Sunday, but the wide receiver is "trending in the right direction," Maddy Glab of the Bills ' official site reports. Sidelined since Aug. McDermott hasn't made a decision on whether Josh Allen will be allowed to play in the Bills' exhibition capper Saturday against the Packers, but it could be tied to Diggs' own availability.

Thus, if Diggs makes the requisite progress this week, there's a chance Allen and Diggs will get a possession or two of in-game reps prior to Week 1. Diggs knee could return to practice soon but won't play in Saturday's preseason game against Chicago, Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reports.

There hasn't been any indication Diggs' knee injury is serious, though he's now been absent from practice for about a week and a half. Diggs has been sidelined for nearly a week due to a knee issue, but coach Sean McDermott is of the belief it won't impact his availability for the regular season.

Diggs shared via his personal Twitter account Thursday that he played through a torn oblique in the playoffs last season. Despite the injury, Diggs put up receiving yards and two touchdowns in three playoff games, though he was held to 77 yards in the AFC Championship Game loss to the Chiefs. Considering he was playing through the injury back in January, Diggs should be healthy heading into the season. Josh Allen and the Bills ' offensive line struggled against Kansas City's defense, resulting in modest outputs for the skill position players, Diggs included. In fact, the year-old's final line was bolstered by an acrobatic big play that was made in garbage time.

Despite a bitter finish, Diggs produced career highs in receptions , yards 1, and targets while scoring eight times across 16 regular-season games.
